B2B GEO Be on the list when the AI suggests providers

In B2B, provider research increasingly starts in chat. Whoever is not named there will not be on the shortlist later either, no matter how good the offering is.

Provider research Named when providers are asked for

Working with Richard was pleasant all around. He proactively contributed his own ideas and suggestions, as a true SEO expert, not just a task executor. Always punctual, flexible, and solution-oriented. Clear recommendation!

Your contact for AI visibility in B2B

B2B GEO makes sure AI systems name your company as a possible solution. That works at a point hardly anyone currently watches: right at the start of provider research, when nobody has spoken to you yet and the list of candidates is only just forming.

What an AI names there depends less on advertising budget than on whether it can grasp your offering clearly and back up your claims. Those two points, clarity and verifiability, are the actual problem in most B2B websites.

Ablauf

How your B2B GEO project runs

From your prospects' research question to an answer that holds up.

  1. 01

    Collect research questions

We clarify which questions start the search for a provider like you. Those are rarely product names, usually problems, requirements or comparisons.

  2. 02

    Measure the status quo

I test those questions across several AI systems and document who gets named, with what reasoning and based on which sources.

  3. 03

    Sharpen the offering

Often it fails because nowhere does a single sentence state what you solve and for whom. We establish that clarity, on the website and in the sources beyond it.

  4. 04

    Create evidence

References, numbers, technical articles and third-party mentions give a model the basis to recommend you with confidence.

  5. 05

    Measure again

The same questions at fixed intervals. That shows whether you get named more often and for which questions you are still missing.

Who B2B GEO is worth it for

Wherever a decision starts with research.

Manufacturers & industry

Technical requirements lend themselves particularly well to AI research, because they can be stated clearly. Anyone providing their specifications machine readably gets named considerably more often.

  • Specifications machine readable
  • Use cases instead of catalogue terms
  • Standards and key figures findable

Software & SaaS

AI research is most widespread here. Questions about alternatives and comparisons are part of the standard routine before anyone even requests a demo.

  • Named for alternatives questions
  • Features described unambiguously
  • Clear differentiation from competitors

Service providers & consultancies

With services there are no datasheets for a model to hold on to. That makes traceable expertise, references and named outcomes count all the more.

  • Expertise evidenced, not claimed
  • References with concrete outcomes
  • Scope clearly defined

How I support you

Pick an area to see what it actually involves.

I collect the questions that really start a provider search in your market and test them systematically. The result shows who is on the list today and who is not.

  • Questions along real procurement
  • Several models compared
  • Competitor mentions recorded too

Häufige Fragen

Frequently asked questions about B2B GEO

Do B2B buyers really research with AI?

Increasingly yes, above all at the start, when the point is to get a list of possible providers at all. The decision still happens in conversation. What matters is that you appear on that first list, because whoever is missing there is rarely found later.

What is the difference to B2B SEO?

B2B SEO aims at your pages being found in Google. B2B GEO aims at an AI naming your company as a solution, even without anyone visiting your site. The editorial basis overlaps, the measurement is different, see B2B SEO.

How do you measure this with small audiences?

Through fixed research questions rather than volume. For each of them I document whether and how you get named. With twenty relevant questions that is more meaningful than any reach figure, because each question can represent a real procurement process.

We have few publicly visible references. Does it still work?

It gets harder, but it is not impossible. If client names cannot be mentioned, anonymised case examples with concrete numbers, technical articles and a nameable methodology help. What matters is that there is something verifiable at all.

Is it worth doing already?

In B2B more than in consumer business, because a single deal is worth so much. If one mention leads to an enquiry that turns into a five-figure project, the effort has already paid off. On top of that, in most B2B markets nobody is doing anything in this direction yet.

What does it cost?

That depends on how many research questions are relevant and how much editorial work is needed. A one-off status check with prompt tests is considerably smaller than ongoing support. The best start is to see what the models currently say about you.
